Question sub-domain not pointing to images

I have a sub-domain site working now for about a year and went to BV10 when it was released and now images are not appearing. Has anyone experienced the lose of images not showing when page was not altered? Seems like pointers are not pointing correctly to the image directory. Page properties for any of the images are in the format of http://www.blackhawksite.com/images/picfilename.jpg (picfilename = image.jpg) any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi, there are a few with this happening. Pop into the cpanel & either turn off the hot link protection or add the sub domain to the hot link protection. See if this works.

Good luck

The problem I am seeing is that my site was accessed by www.blackhawksite.com before I updated to VB10 and now it needs to be accessed with www.blackhawksite.dasmoon.com and then everything works fine. Do not know why my url has to have .dasmoon attached to it? Any suggestions?

Hi, if http://www.dasmoon.com/ is the original domain that you have in your public html area & you have added a subdoman? Then www.blackhawksite.dasmoon.com is the correct way to get to the sub domain. You should be publishing your pages to public_html/blackhawksite/ for the subdomain
If you wanted to get to the pages as www.blackhawksite.com You would of had to of purchased a new domain & made this work using the add on domain facility & not the sub domain. I cant off hand see what BV10d would have to do with this.

I am having a similar problem as of about 3:00 pm or so today. I purchased a different domain a few weeks ago, and added the new one as an addon domain. I was able to get to the domain using the following URL http://www.ecofriendlyorganicbaby.com

Now If I put http://www.ecofriendlyorganicbaby.rtawebenterprises.com in the pages appear okay, but they do not appear okay any more as http://www.ecofriendlyorganicbaby.com

I was also publishing at the
/public_html for the first main site and
/public_html/ECOFRIENDLYORGANICBABYCLOTHING.COM/ for the second website updates to assure files go to the correct places.

The first url is not correct. It should be http://www.ecofriendlyorganicbabyclothing.com

Also, what happened to the "clothing" in the url http://www.ecofriendlyorganicbaby.rtawebenterprises.com

http://www.ecofriendlyorganicbabyclothing.com/ is working fine
http://rtawebenterprises.com/ is working fine.
http://www.ecofriendlyorganicbaby.com/ You need to point this one at the VH server from GD.com (your domain provider)

That probem was last night. Though, I can't seem to find the post today, I opened a new post to say I had fixed it last night. Also, I didn't want to continue with my issue on this post about my issue, but I did want to say that I was experiencing a similar issue.

I added this site to my cpanel "hotlink protection" last night and disabled and re-enabled the site then it started to work.

Thanks,
-Rita
