Post How can I have 2 domain names pointing to 1 site?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

How do I register a new domain name with Blue Voda?

How can I have the new domain name link to a current website that I have already hosted with Blue Voda?

    Again, Thanks for the help!

    Hi,

For registering a new domain name with BV, you will have to do the same as you did with your first:
    check availability,
pay for it, and it's yours!

But in your primary domain, you can host subdomains and addon domains, if they fit to the pourpose you want..

    ok..

Go to your control pannel and log in

    Search for domains

    2 first options are
    subdomains and addondomains.

Note that they will look like http://subdomainname.yourmaindomain.com

Click on top of one of them
There you will find a form that you will fill with the desired name for subdomain.

    Select create, and its done!

thanks again Susana you are most helpful!

Is there away that I can have the new domain name without the http://subdomainname.yourmaindomain.com ?

Just a new domain name that points to my main domain name?

    Thanks

    Tom

if you realy want a new domain, the only way to get is is buiyng it!

Although I cant see whats the point of getting a new domain to point to an existing one.

    Thanks again,

I don't mind buying it. Will that resolve the issue?

When someone goes to your new domain name website, do you want it to automatically redirect to your main site? If so, you can create an addon domain (which only shows the main domain name when you publish it and not when it's viewed). The publish a blank page with a redirect to your main site.
I believe that is all I did. If I"m leaving something out, hopefully someone else will jump in.
I did this - bought another domain and redirected to my site so no one else would buy it. And we get a few hits from it.
