Unless you tell anyone about them- or point links to them, no one will find them, so I wouldn't worry about hiding them. And if you want them found eventually in searches, the sooner the se's start indexing them, the better. If you really don't want them seen - don't publish them - that's the simplest way to keep them from being seen. Or you could password protect them then remove the passwords when you are ready.

I have had websites on other servers and there is a place in the control panel that you can eithier hide or show that page. I know on the premade templates you can hide or show them. there has to be a way

Create a protected directory and publish your pages in this directory, as Beth recommends. And you are right, in other builders that feature is available, but not with BV ..
