Thread: Is word compatable with BlueVoda?

Hi,

I have got loads of work to copy and paste from word onto my website using
bluevoda. I have tried to copy and paste things but the tables don't copy
and paste correctly and the text is off line (it appears fine when I first
copy and paste it but then I click out of the text box and it changes).

Is there any way of copying and pasting tables etc into bluevoda exactly
as it appears in microsoft word. Maybe when creating the next version of
blue voda they should make the two programs compatible?

Hi, you can, but by the time you have gone through the way it has to be done, you would be far quicker placing new tables on a BV page & pasting into these. It will also guarantee the formating will be correct, as MS word is not always a good one to transfer to a web page.

WORD does have some little "kinks" in it when saving as html. However, if you have a lot of work to be entered you may just want to try and save WORD as html and place a link to each page after you have FTP'd the WORD/html into your public_html. You can also place an IFrame in a page and link to the WORD/html page. The last method is not SE friendly.
