Thread: How do i delete an old page?

Well as the topic says, i've uploaded pages, but am unsure on how to delete them and saw no tutorial on this. Also not sure how to verify my site through the google sitemap thing.

to delete a page, you can use your ftp program in BV......see the ftp tutorial.

The above statement is absolutely correct.

One way also is that, if the old file is having the same file name, you can just upload as is or published it then it automatically replaces the old file.

Theres a sitemap generator in blue voda under tools.
click on tool dropdown...then select... sitemap. Make sure there are no bad pages listed.. then add or remore and then publish sitemap. (bottom left corner of box) Also..you can read about on this link..

RE: Google.. sign up for Google Webmaster Tools. Then where you can add your websites, there is a place where the "bot" goes out to verify your sitemap. Lots of good info in their Webmaster Tools section.

Please answer the topic at hand.......it makes it dificult for the next person who tries to follow a thread.

My preference for new users is to delete a page via the control panel .. this gives you the option to put the file back in case you grab the wrong file or an operating file ..

>control panel > file manager > domain directory > delete page

the page is stored in the recycle bin until you delete again ..

recommended for new users ..

I believe what goldpaw is saying that be careful of deleting any pages that the search engines may have already listed, if so you might want to do a redirect from this page to another ..

If it's new and you just don't need it, go ahead and delete it ..
