Question new version BV 10.1 with pages created on older version

I built my site (oct 2007) with older version of BV. (LOVE Blue Voda)

Have seen the recent availability of the newest version BV 10.1

I thought I saw info about pages created with one version may not be edited (or something) with the newest... can not seem to locate that info now to double check what I had read??

I have just set up parallels on my mac with plans to be able to edit and publish from my mac eventually...

Do I need to download the same older version so i don't run into trouble with pages already created... or can I download the newest version onto my Mac and work immediately with those pages created on the older version of BV... or do I need to do something to those pages already created if I download the new version??

Probably want future work to be done using same version of BV in either case... so what to do?

Thanks,
JazziGirl

**Not totally sure of the simplest way to move my pages to the mac either... so simple step by step on that would help too.

BV 10 does allow you to work with pages created by earlier versions, there are more features in the new version that you will find usefull. However you will not be able to work with pages edited or created with BV10 by any older version. I would simply use the newest version on both machines. I will assume you know that using two sytems will require you to transfer all related files (images, etc.) and have them in the same location on both machines in order to work properly. There have been several threads on this, search for them using the search box above.

Thumbs up Re: new version BV 10.1 with pages created on older version

Hi Jazzigirl,

The Older version of BV is not available anymore.

You should upgrade to the latest version which is very stable.
And continue with BV 10.1 as if the the older BV never existed.

You can open and save all the old pages without any unwanted effects
with BV 10.1

I also have the older version of Blue Voda. For clarification, please tell me if I can edit and/or change my existing pages (built with the older version) if I download the new version.
Thanks!

Question Re: new version BV 10.1 with pages created on older version

How do you know which version you have. I have downloaded the new version but it didn't have any information about overwriting the old one, and it doesn't look any different to me.

You can open up the web builder and go to the top tab saying Help and you will see the ABOUT menu and it will list the version of blue voda you have installed ..
