    Default Picture formats

    Hi, hope you are all well??

    Can anyone tell what format is best to save pictures in, to place on a web site i.e jpep, Bitmat and so on.

    As a very rough guide jpeg/ for photos, gif/ for digital drawings & digital art, png/ will often cover both. Avoid Bitmap, as it tends to have a larger kb than other formats.

    Usually jpeg is rendered as .jpg extensions rather than .jpeg
