Thread: index.html won't call images

My domain is www.baseballwarehouse.com.au

This is set up under http://matesrates-australia.com.au/

Via ftp I have loaded index.html to http://www.baseballwarehouse.com.au/

and loaded the image baseballwarehouse.gif to http://www.baseballwarehouse.com.au/images/

The page is loading the index.html file but won't show the image file. If I go directly to http://www.baseballwarehouse.com.au/...lwarehouse.gif in my browser it shows the image.

I've tried using jpg & gif images. I've tried using the above path in the index.html instead of "images/baseballwarehouse.gif"

The index.html file is loading because if I put text into it the text shows on the page.

I'm sure that I've done something really stupid but I can't figure out what it is.

your home page should only be saved and published as index, not index.html. all you links back to your home page or your index page should be:
http://www.yourwebsitename.com
you do not have to include the .html when referring to your index page. perhaps that will fix everything you are needing.

Just to clearify BV pages have to be published not FTPed.

Hi, have you checked your hotlink protection in cpanel has the new site added to it. (Or turn it off)

hi .. brendon tried your suggestion but it did not work.. he is using dreamweaver to upload. we are a little stumped as it should be working by rights .. i have looked re installed all the extensions and still no luck .. it dosent appear to find the pics that have been uploaded. i am thinking it may be permission settings
