    Question Table Question

Im not sure if this is possible but if it is I would like to try it.
    It concerns Tables.
is there a way to move a whole column in a Table.
    I hope This is a good e.g

    1__________
    2__________
    3__________

is there away to move the whole #2 Column can move up to number 1 or down to number 3.

    Heres the table I made.

I am trying to find a way that I don't have to change every column everytime I update.

    Hope I made sence

I don't think you can. I also update a table for a local rugby club and I end up manually re-entering the data every week to get the table in order eg http://www.imperialrfc.org.uk/first_...ppearances.php.
Like you I would love to know if there is another way.

Hi, Darren is quite correct in not being able to update a table like you would be able with software like XL. Some members tend to use XL for this reason, or Google Docs in an iframe works well.

One posibility is to create a single table with 1 row and 1 column then populate it with your data.

Then repeat for how many entries that you may have.
    select all - allign left.

    1............... ................ ................
    2............... ................ ................
    3............... ................ ................

Now all you have to do is to update the details of a line
then select a line and move it up or down.

To avoid having to keep change numbers, omit the number and instead use a heading of "top 10" or "top 20" etc.

Another posibility is to save the original table to a database which can then be sorted and displayed whenever you wished.

Or yet again use exel, change, sort, republish............................

FYI, using uppercase in your page names will keep your pages from being indexed by SE's, if that is important to you.
