    Default second language

    Hi,

I am trying to publish my cestras.org website in a second language.
The strategies I followed was to place a button in the index page linking to the second language index page.

In order to keep the exact layout, this second language index page was created by renaming (save as) the original index page: the contents were tranlated and the name was changed from "index.bvp" to "index-english.bvp".

From this second language index page menu, all links were changed, sending to new pages made by the same process.

The problem is: when I publish the second language index page it mixes with the original index page. It is as if one page contaminated the other: the original index page gets its menu in the second language,, but keeps the text in the original language, and vice-versa for the second language index page.
I repeated the all process twice.

    Questions:

    1) what is going on?
    2) is there a better way to publish second language versions?

PS I have removed the second language pages to not have this non-sense on display for my viewers

    Thanks for your assistance

Have a look at this two language site of mine to see if you can pick up some ideas.

The main language (Spanish) is in the public_html directory
which contains a seperate English folder with its own index page.

Browse the site(redesigning it at the moment) and look at the linking system that I have used.

Hi, you will be better doing 2 things.
    1. create a new folder on your own home machine & Keep your pages as they were.
    2. create a new directory in your cpanel called english & publish your new pages with the same name to public_html/english/
The new pages will look like www.cestras.org/engish/ for the home page & maybe www.cestras.org/engish/about-us.html for the English about us page.

Ah! This cold is slowing me down David. LOL
