Message about referer spam

I just signed up to a forum online and duly recieved a confirmation email from the forum...Its an army forum ex services stuff anyhow

I used one of my emails from a domain i have from vodahost.

I opened up my webmail using horde to get the email and as you do clicked the submit link. Much to my horror I was confronted with a page
that stated:

You are banned from this site due to a spam url in the referrer header

I hardly even use this email Obvoiusly I want to know how to get rid of this problem
any ideas

Put in a support ticket explaining the problem..............

Thanks for your posts I usually let other people ask the questions and then i get the answers as they are usually not as long winded as me

I can break up a sentence to get a paragraph in.
