Thread: Sliding Menu Bar Problem

I'm currently building my 3rd site with BV. The previous 2 sites just used ordinary menu bars, but this one needs a second tier, so I want to use the sliding menu bar/drop down options to give me a second tier fly out or drop down secondary menu.

I understand the the video but it tells me to click on the sliding menu bar option on the left hand side of the screen.......... problem is that despite only downloading the newest version of BV the other day, I don't have a sliding menu bar option there.

I tried using the other option of going to the top and using the option of insert/navigation/slide menu, but that doesn't seem to be the same thing.

What I want is a set of nav buttons that fly out of the main menu to give further options.

Can someone give me some guidance please?

Click the one titled "menu bar"
click add and fill out as appropiate
then click on any of the added lines and click add again

That will create a submenu line(2nd level)

Experiment with clicking on one of the created box/text and you will soon get the hang of it.

When I do that, I don't seem to be able to preview it and I haven't published the site yet. - I can do everything I need to do with a single tier, but I think it would look better with two tiers........... can anyone direct me to a BV site that uses two tiers so that I can check it out before I decide whether to go for one or two tiers?

(IMO) you would be better off using text links which will definitely be picked up by the Search Engines.
