Default indented text wouldn't show up in the preview.

    Hi *****,

Thanks for answering my previous questions.

After I indented the text in the table form, it wouldn't show up in the preview. I mean the texts are still right aligned. How can I keep the format?

    Thanks
    Lin

For best text control. I suggest you use a table.

use letters as space fillers and give them the same color as your background.
This is a very useful trick to know.

Thanks for the advice. It will certainly be useful if it is a short text. I am trying to put a whole book on the internet, which includes about 100 paragraphs. Most of the website building is about editing the text. I wish I could just copy and paste the whole chunk instead of using the table. It's so hard to keep the original format.

I did as you suggested. I put the text in the table, and used letters as space fillers, and blended them into the background colour. I did the same with three pages. They all showed up alright in the preview, but after I published them to the internet, only one page keeps the format, the indent still wouldnt' show up in the other two pages. What else shall I do?
I remember editing text was pretty simple with Frontpage2002. But Bluevoda is much better with page publishing and buttons. I am not trying to be a troublesome customer. I am just very frustrated with the text editing with bluevoda. Isn't there something you can do to improve the text editing, so it will keep the format?
    Thanks.

What version of BV are you using? can you publish a page so we can
look at it. open a ticket for this.

This a very unique problem. If you read the forums. You will not
really find anybody else with it.

if you are using letters as space fillers it should work fine.

Please make sure you have the latest version of JAVA form Sun
Microsystems installed on your computer. If you do not have it or
if you are not sure if you have it please click the link below.

Reboot your computer after the installation.

By the way, just in case you did not know. You are not suppose to indent
on the web. Its considered bad practice. look any article on cnn.com or
any major site. They do not indent.

Thanks. I am using Bluevoda 6.5.4.
I have downloaded the latest version of Java as instructed.
Now using letters as space fillers works fine. But I have to do that hundreds of times probably.
A new problem - after I pasted a long text to the table, the scroll bar of bluevoda wouldn't scroll to the end of the page, and I can't edit more.

I wish I didn't have to indent the text. I am helping someone put a whole book on the internet. He insists all the paragraphs be indented as they are originally formatted. There are hundreds of pages......
