If you give us the published page to look at, we should be able to find what you're doing wrong - can't do so with nothing but "I just cannot make them work" -

Are you using the one that says navagation bar? If so double click it (once on your page) click the first one that says BlueVoda, then edit. Here you change the text in the button, the style, color of text (in the style tab) and the link (in the general tab). Repeat for the others.

I have my navagation bars set up using the url for each page, and published my index page and rate page. When I go on line and click on the button for rates it tells me page cannot be found my sight is notaraslodge.com. I have tried and I cannot make it work.

The links seem to be set up OK. The problem is likely your rates page. Possible problems could be: you didn't spell it correctly when you published; you didn't publish it to your public folder, you didn't publish at all (it happens); an uppercase letter or space is messing things up.

Also, "New Sight" should be spelled "New Site."

    Hello,

Thank you for your suggestions I have made the changes. I went back in and made sure I had correct spelling no spaces or uppercase letters. I saved and republished to my public floder. When I go online to see it I am still getting page not found HTTP404 notaraslodge.com user name tbevcsp.

you should be getting something like www.yoursitename.com/rates and if from a link then .html at the end of it. (when entered into a button or link)

A 404 says the link you have click does not point to any specific page. Double check the spelling of both the page you want to go to upon click and the actual link itself and make sure they are in agreement again remember the .html when coding your button.

If I am missing what your problem is then reply telling me my fault but from what I understand you are having a linking problem.

    Regards,

    -DM

Did you copy and paste your buttons on this page? That is probably your problem. It is best to create a page with all the common elements, headers, banners, navagation, etc. then save it as say template, then clone the page to create news ones. Then add the elements specific to that page, save it accordingly nd publish.

Lets take this slow and from the beginning, you create your page, save the page as "rates" lower case, no extentions and publish to your public_html folder. Then your link should work, based on what I see from your home page.

OK--www.notaraslodge.com/room28.html works. The page itself needs fixing, but that's a different issue. Whatever you did to make that link work is what you need to do for the other links and pages.

    Well, see--there you go.

www.notaraslodge.com/room_rates.html works fine (except the appearance needs to be taken care of). The link on your home page is www.notaraslodge.com/rates.html. That's why it doesn't work.

The internet is 100% literal--addresses must be exact. Change the link and it will work.

Keep at it! It'll turn out great.
