Default Publishing from a different computer

Hi,
My website is for a garden club, www.karanadownsgc.com and I would like prepare for someone else to take it over in the future. I have tried transferring everything to my lap top - I can build a web page, even though I always get an error message at first, but I can't publish from there, even though I am positive I have used the correct passwords etc.
Would it be better to download the web builder direct from BV to the new computer, and then transfer the files? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Aussietrim

The new computer is going to need blue voda in order to open and view the blue voda pages .. so yes, download blue voda on that computer ..

you shoudl be able to publish, there shouldt be any reason why you cannot publish from one computer or another to your server .. if you can't, perhaps your own firewall is blocking you from accessing your server ..

Thanks Lady Eye - I had transferred BV to my laptop by way of an external hard drive, but maybe downloading direct from BV would be better

I tried to download the web builder to another computer, but was told that I already have it, and I couldn't get any further than that. Should I contact BV directly to be able to download to a different computer?
Thanks,
Aussietrim

If you tried once to transfer BV by way of external hard drive then some of it was transfered, you need to delete it, restart your computer and down load BV. If it still says you have it you may have to manually delete the BV folder from your c-drive, restart and down load.

Ko, I think I must be getting old - no, I know I am old -but I have to confess that you have solved my problem. Many thanks. I am so used to the box coming up with the correct IP that I forgot to change it with the other computer. LadyEye, thanks for the zipfile - being a garden club it is inevitable that the website is going to have to be transferred to different computers every now and then, and that will be very handy.

Now we have that solved, another question please. Is it possible to build the website in MS Publisher, and transfer it to BV for publishing?
