I do photogerpy not web pages and I need help I fallowed the tutorials and still can not add temp. index file to my domain that works can any one tell me what I am doing wrong?

You should post in forums closely realted to your problem, general issues for this one. But any way when you built your home page (index) you need to save it as index nothing else, no caps, no extension, nothing and publish it to your public_html folder.

D'son I did that to the letter as far as I can tell... but I also trided to do a transfeer from the soft were but it would not let me log on??

What are you trying to transfer? When you want to publish your site you simply click the publish button, fill in your login details that you received from VodaHost and your on your way.

By the way I really do like your web site hope my will be half as good.

I am trying to trnasfer a temp under condturction index.html file and a mp3 file

when I go to the web site all I see is garbage yourgreatphotos.org

Forget the temp. part just create a page to say this site is under construction, add the mp3 if you want and publish it as I stated before. (Although it is best to have an actual page up with some content about what your site will be about.) After you get your design down you can simply write over the one that says construction on it.

Oh see I am really dumb I though that was what I was doing??? just a simple page that lets others know something is coming in the future.

ok this might seem silly but did you actually publish your site index page or have you just tried to put a page there by moving it though your cpanel or ftp manger. as it looks like you just tried to move it. as settings\default\my documents\bluevoda\images\00001.jpg should not appear this is the route on your pc not on the server
