OH, thanks!!! This looks a lot easier to use than some of the ftp programs I was looking at.

Hi David. I have set up the FTP manager (I think). What I am going to be using it for is to display "real time results" from a swim meet. Meet Manager from hy-tek.ltd.com is the program that will allow me to send results as they occur to my website. My question is how do a make the files viewable on the website. The mm program (which requires the ftp account) has tested ok for connection, and I was able to "upload events." I just don't know how to view it online. This is mainly for friends and family who are unable to attend the meet.
    Thanks for your help.

Hi claire, I tried that link but the link isnt working.
Without investigating the actual program, I am afraid that I cannot answer your question.
This real time program may contravine the Vodahost "terms of Service"(TOS)
but as I said, I cant do anything with that broken link.

it should have been hy-tekltd.com. But you prob won't find much help there. What the help menu tells me is 1)that I need to set up an ftp account and
2)the log in page says to "enter your ftp site address such as ftp.mywebsite.com or www.mywebsite.com. The log in page has a test site connection, which I managed to get to work and upload event, results, etc. These sorta worked, ie, there are files uploaded but they don't all work together the way they should.
You can see a real time results in action at http://baylorswimming.org/hostedmeet.php and look for REAL TIME RESULTS.
The program files are constantly updated along with the meet. Can blue ftp do this? If not, can you advise on another program...free... if you know of an easy one to use.
Thanks for your help. I have some friends who do this for their teams so they may be of help also.
