Default Are all pages but first .html?

Just getting started here and wondering if all pages but the first one end with .html

The first one is index.bvp, so say the second page I want people to go to is How To. Would I say How-To.html? And is that true for every page but the first index page?

Of course, I would love to understand why it is the way it is, if this is the case!

    Thanks!!!

When you save any page, you always save it without an extension. BV adds the .bvp to the pages as they are saved to your local hard drive. When you click on the Publish icon, BV will automatically add the .html extension and publish the page to the server.

You name (save) all you pages with any name you want (no spaces and use lower case) except the first one (home page), it has to be called index. This is the standard (code, if you will) to point to the first page you want displayed on your web site.
