Thread: My Home Page Is Slow In Loading I Don`t Know Why

I use pix resizer fro the graphics, its just text and graphics and links, when IE 6 starts up its slow in loading the home page, after that its fast on every page, then when I close IE and start it up again, its slow in loading again, does any body know what else I can do,

Is it my computer or are you having the same Experience ?

Thank you for your feedback, I am on dsl as well and yet it is only slow when Internet explorer first starts up, if i revert back its really quick.

Also check the size of any graphics that you have on the page.

Check to make sure that your computer is saving temporary files. Whenever you go to a website IE downloads all images and a copy of the html and saves it in your temporary internet folder. If it isnt' saving, then every time you go to that page it has to redownload it every time. (Althought I don't know if IE even offers that option, but It atleast worth checking that your temporary internet folder ins't empty)

Yes THats True, But I since found that some of my graphics are bitmap , and are quite large files, i have used pix resizer on them, and i am now using jpeg files, I hope the site is quicker to load now.

Hi mine is slow as well and gets stuck and stops I have pixed my photos and I think I changed the time out in my start/ run files... well whatever I did the computers still running. But sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't I'm on BT broadband 2 gig. What else can I do as I need lots and lots of photo's. Thank you (this is my first post if I dont find a way to reply straight away)

Why dont you provide us a link so we can look at your page. Simply telling
us you have a slow loading page is as helpful as telling us you that you have
11 toes.

Make sure you run all your photos through Pix resizer. click the below...
