    Question MySQL Database

    Hi folks,

I have found this link to help in creating a database using php.

My question is this - in not knowing how to set up the database and the login - can use this information as is for MySql and Bluevoda websites or are there modifications one needs to make to get it to work?

All you do is login to cpanel.. go to mysql.. create the database NAME, it creates the database.. then you drop down and either create a new user..or assign an existing user to it. If creating a new user.. you create the name and password.. then add it to the database.

    Hi Karin,

    thanks for the prompt reply.

I should have been maybe more specific - my apologies.

This link http://nettuts.com/tutorials/php/use...ship-with-php/ has script or code that can be copied and I was wondering if I copied as is if it would work in BV.

I am most definitly not a bof in this regard and need some help

Sure.. youd have to make an html box copy and paste the code in it..and then save the page as.. register.php

I think both Naval and David offer similar login or registration scripts. Its up to you what you use.
