Thread: PDF documents

Hello
I would like to add current and past newsletters to my site in a link to a PDF doc as well as an article link of a PDF doc...
how do i do this?

Use FTP Manager to upload the file to the folder you want it in. Create a link on the page you want to have the link on (text link, image, whatever). Link would then look something like this:

http://www.mysite.com/mypdffolder/mypdffile.pdf

the link was bad...
Ok i've not transferred the domain name yet... for some reason it always seems so daunting to me... anyway... temporarily can i put them in the folder I'm keeping my pictures in as I'm building it?

duh i think i just realized that the link wasn't real anyway...sheesh...lol

but i don't think i can do any of this till i transfer the Domain Name or update the namer server...
going home for the day so i'll check back tomorrow

The link won't work until you publish and of course if you're not yet hosted you have no place to upload the pdf file. So hutty up! :)

I am trying to do the same thing...I want to upload a PDF file to my website which people can open or download. I understand the process of it and watched the tutorial but I have a stupid question...where do I find the FTP Manager???? My profile looks different than the one from the tutorial.....I looked everywhere ut canot find it....HELP!

First you should always start your own thread. But anyway in BV then in the menu bar Tools/File Manager

No leave the public_html part out, it is just
http://www.lifepartnerschristianministries.com/Nair Feature.pdf
it is also best not to use uppercase letters in page names and definately no spaces.

ok so i need to name the pdf nair_feature.pdf and then upload it to my CP cuz it was saveds b4 as Nair Feature.pdf and that won't work?

correct.. the spaces will convert to %20 instead of a space.. either rename it with the underscore.. or without the blankspace like all one word.
