Thread: Internet Exception Error 12031

The connection with the server has been reset.

What does this mean? I am getting this message when I try to publish.

Hi Gwen - check out the bugs and outages forum. There's been a problem all day. VH are on the case but it's taking some fixing. They will post in B & O when it's fixed.

I see lots of people equiring about this 12031 timed out cannot publish. I get this on regular basis. For me it poses no problems. I just stop and think a little. Trying to publish when you have alot open on your computer can cause this error to appear. I suggest close down everything, refresh the page then try again. If this doesn't work then exit the Blue Voda program save the work when it prompts the question.

Go back into BV and try again, you computer only has so many ports and when too much stuff is open, its usually the PC thats causing the problem not BV. pet121

A 12031 error means that the connection to the server was reset.
If you are using a wireless adapter, the adapter may have lost its
association with the access point. If you are using a modem, the
network coverage was lost. Keep trying to up/load files.

You also may want to try the below work around for connection
time outs:


1. In windows go to Start, select run and type: Regedit
2. Find this key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BlueVoda 7\BlueVoda 7\Publish\
3. Add a new DWORD value with the name ConnectionTimeout
4. Enter the value in seconds for example 360 (default is 30)

I agree with ***** as well. But I always get this message when I have my music running, my backlink checker running, adware checker ect... but when I close off these programs then try and publish it works perfectly fine. pet121
