does anyone know how can I password protect my directories in chmod?

chmod is a command to set file (or directory) accessibility properties. If you go in Blue FTP, connect and right click on a file, choose Properties. Then you will see three different columns of attributes, for : Owner, Group, Public. For each one you can choose the accessibility of the file. By checking / unchecking the checkboxes you set the properties of the file. If you're not sure of you should do, better don't touch anything. Password protect your directory from CP and set usernames and passwords authorised to access that directory
