    Default V Bulletin

    can I run V Bulletin on my site using the BlueVoda software?

    I want to make a new site. Strictly a forum site like this one. It would be in the Lawn Care Industry.

    Anything I need to do special.

    My other 2 sites are hosted by VodaHost, and I cannot be happier with this company, and I want my new site hosted by them.

    Anybody got any guidance?

    Thank you,
    Craig

    You would need to purchase the VBulletin software and then yes.. you can host it no problems.

    They provide excellent support and for a small fee will even install it for you

    I'm very happy with vBulletin on VodaHost. One thing: When you've installed vB you'll want to make some modifications to the colors and such. At that point you may find that you'll need to send a support ticket to VH customer service to ask them to impliment the following:

    suhosin.request.max_vars = 2048
    suhosin.post.max_vars = 2048

    Once this is done, vB is totally good to go.

    You can find out more details by searching this topic (suhosin) at vbulletin.com

    Also keep in mind, that BlueVoda is a web builder, Vodahost is the hosting company. You shouldn't have any trouble hosting vBulletin on your Vodahost hosting account. However vBulletin is completly separate software, it cannot be edited or modifiied using BlueVoda the website builder.

    thank you folks.

    I now have a clearer understanding of how it works.

    My question about the BlueVoda software was more like, if I wanted to add a v bulletin forum to my current sites, that are built using the BlueVoda software.

    But yes I do understand it to be different software, was curious how it would work if on my current site? Subdomain?

    Yes, create a subdomain, in example named "forum" and install VBulletin there.
