Thread: How to stop the temporary url from showing up on every page?

When in Internet Explorer's Address bar you type swingaroux.com, you access the web page and the address bar changes to the url http://swingaroux.com/. This is a good thing!

However, when you select any link on the 1st web page, for example, Ensembles, the Address bar url changes to http://74.86.118.25/~gziaudax/ensembles.html. This is not a good thing.

We want the address bar to change to http:/swingaroux.com/ensembles.html.

How do we make it so?

Should it not be http://www.swingaroux.com? and also with the www. on all the other pages especially in the links to those pages? I just checked and with the www. added your home page comes up but if you click on the index page link you go back to having the ip address and the temporary url displayed. www.swingaroux.com/ensembles.html also displays the right page so maybe it is the www. missing causing the problem

Yes, but when I upload a file, the file uploads to the temporary url. I do not know how to change the temporary url to the permanent swingaroux. I don't know what to do.

Ok, thanks, the last suggestion fixed it for me. I changed each button to link to http://[URL="http://www.swingaroux.com"]www.swingaroux.com[/URL], and that worked. Thank you for the clue!
