Probably a simple answer but???

When I type in my main web address www.algorfacostablanca.com the page that opens is not the home "index.html" page but www.algorfacostablanca.com/Montebello.html. Can anyone tell me why it has started to do this? I have tried renaming the page and chnaging the links to it but it just won't open the page.

Must be you.. as i see your index or at least its a different page than the Montebello and it says its named index

I am not sure but seems like a redirect.

Besides,
I looked at your index source file,

you have scripts before <html>

What is that?

Using IE8,

I tried your http://www.algorfacostablanca.com as you typed in your post.

The page displayed was

http://www.algorfacostablanca.com/Montebello.html

Try opening your "index" page in BV and check the link properties?

I opened my Firefox browser and typed in the following url

http://www.algorfacostablanca.com/

and I was directed to Algorfa Costa Blanca Website which I assume is your Index page.

I guess my hunch may be correct that you messed up your links recently.

Getting this with FF, so i assume there is some sort of redirect on the site.

The page isn't redirecting properly.
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept
cookies.
