Thread: Viewing Files

How do I post a zip file or a folder for others to view on my website? For example, I'm wanting to post a folder with construction documents that is contained in My Documents for potential bidders to view on our website. Access to this file would need be secured with a password. This folder or file would not necessarily need to be downloadable for others.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You upload it to the server via ftp to the password protected directory and then simply LINK to its location on the server.

I may or may not have done this correctly, but I uploaded the two folders I need to the public_ftp folder in my file manager through cpanel.

I understand that I link to its location on the server, but how do I know what the LINK is to enable others to view the folders. In other words, how do I know what to name the link???

Dont upload to public_ftp

Public_html/downloadfoldername/
