Thread: problem with password protected pages

i am trying to add password protected pages and when i try to access the page it says it is not available i think i am following the steps correctly but i have a few questions

1 do you add the html page or the bvp page to the passdirect folder? if i do add the bvp page how do you get it in the password direct folder because every time i try it sends the page but when it is finished the page never shows up in the folder

2 how long does it take for the password page to be available .maybe its not working because im not giving it enough time.

3 could someone give me more detailed instructions on how to add the password pages because im not that bright .lol.

What exact problem are you having...Please provide more data.

the problem is after i complete the process( all of the steps adding folder,uploading pages etc.....) when i try to access the page via the internet www.mysite.com/passprotectedpage.html it gives me a 404 error the page cannot be found but when i access the internet via the pass protected folder www.mysite.com/folder it works. i would like to be able to access the page via the page itself(www.mysite.com/passprotectedpage.html).
