Default can't create hyphenated domain name ftp accout

My domain name is seniors-safety.com and when I try to set up the ftp account it will not accept the hyphen. I tried setting it up without it and still it would not work. I need to give access to this account for affiliate setup and do not want to give anyone root access to our account. How can I set up fto for this domain name without giving access to our main account (professionalwebsitesonline.com) Seniors-safety.com is an addon domain. Thank you.

That is what I need to do...give them access to that folder only but the system will not let me create an ftp account for a hyphenated domain name and if I remove the hyphen then they do not get to the right folder to make it work. How do I make a hyphenated domain name ftp account that will only access seniors-safety.com? Thank you

Thats what im telling you. The ftp folder is on the same level as your public html. It doesnt RESIDE in the domain. you would only give them permission to upload to the ftp folder...not the domain folder.
