Thread: Glass button problems

Hi,
I'm making my first website :) and i got some problems using glass button.
In BV everything seems OK...the buttons have different colors and text but, when I'm publishing (for preview) all the buttons are the same (same text,same color....like...I don't know...they are all red, and on every single one is the same text). I've tried to make one button, save, and then make another one, save again...and then make another one ( no, I'm not using copy and paste) but still...

Any help is very appreciated.

not sure what your problem is from the links you sent. here are 2 buttons i set up on a page to show that the glass buttons work fine.

Aight I will take it step by step. You will have to excuse me, I was a little bit dizzy yesterday. But today my mind is clear and I'm gonna explain everything that even the... um... I'll just start...
Here we go!

Step1: First I start BlueVoda (Deja vu don't you think?)

Step2: Now we go to Insert > Extra > Glass button

Step3: We create a button (Standard blue color, with standard text "Glass Button" and the standard shape of a circle)

Step4: We double click the Glass Button and a Settings menu comes up, this is where we change the background color (Random picked) red and change the name to "Juicy"

Step4.5: We make rollover color grey

Step5: Now we click ok and get this little thing. As you can see I have changed the shape of the button. It's not a circle anymore, and its not blue its red and the text has changed from "Glass Button" to "Juicy" (So far so good!)

Step6: Now we make a second button. And just as expected its a circle, its blue and it says "Glass Button"... Let's change that!

Step7: Here we double click the second button and edit it a little bit. We change the background color of the button from blue to green and change the text to "GreenChockolate"

Step7: We change rollover color to Brown

Step8: Now we click ok and take a look at the result. Text is changed to "GreenChockolate", color to green and I've changed the shape... eh... In a way you can't miss...

Step9: Here we go to File > Preview in Browser > Default Browser

Step 10: Now THIS is where the disaster begins (Never liked number 10), the second button is as it's supposed to be. That's cool. But the first button that was named "Juicy" is now named "GreenChockolate", and not just the name but even color has changed into green (the exact color from the second button)

Step11: Now we try to roll our mouse over the second big green button and it's working just the way it was supposed to do. It says "GreenChockolate", it's big, it's green and when you roll you mouse over it becomes brown. It works perfectly!

Step12: And this is the main source of my disturbance. The red button becomes green? "Juicy" becomes "GreenChockolate"?! From rollover color grey it has now become BROWN!!!

Now, is it just me or is something really wrong here? I mean you should observe that I didn't SAVE the file after making the button(s) and not even before previewing it. But I did try and it made no difference at all... Maybe you guys can help me out with this? Cuz I really would like to use them buttons...

i think the easiest way to help you would to do this remotely. there are tools available that we could use so that i could show you exactly how to do things as well as you showing me how you are doing things. these tools do not cost anything for the first 30 days. if this interests you contact me through my website. i do this for a lot of companies and people who need help with Blue Voda.
