Thread: Need Help with Outlook 2007

Hi,

I have one website that I currently use outlook for...yesterday I created another and followed the directions. The new email account will not work. I have reviewed the outlook settings and they are the same. Somewhere in CPanel I think I must change something. Any ideas?

In the Cpanel you would set up an email address, and give it a password.

Typically outlook need 2 things

The username is the email address (might need to replace @ with +)
The Password

If you have another 'your domain' email address, just copy the pop3 and smtp settings for the additional one.

I have everything set up in CPanel. Then I created a the same email account in Outlook 2007. I used mail.mydomain2.com in both in and out. I created john@mydomain2.com and used the same password as in CPanel.

My original email with john@mydomain1.com is working and is functional.

My outlook accounts (other than the domain name and password -input) are identical.

I thought I missed something in the outlook setup so I took a day and have been at it for 4 hours now. Still nothing.

Login using your email address and password

If you can't get in - you will know that their is a problem with email address or password (or both)

If you can get in then we know its your outlook settings.

The domain is www.assistivetechproducts.com which is not up and running but paid for, then I added the /webmail. both do not work.

OK has this domain been added to your control panel?

Yes - I just copied and pasted from the control panel "Main domain Address" and it gave me an error.

Just in case I spelled it wrong.

Still does not work. In outlook or Horde webmail.

After changing your email password and testing webmail, it does work. As I said to you in my email, it could be a propagation thing due to this being a new hosting account and your domain has only been recently been pointed. This can take 24 hours to propagate or so but if its been 72 hours + then I would submit a support ticket....

I sent a support ticket since it been since 11/2009.
