Thread: Addon Domain Not Publishing My Site

Hello,

My Site Name: http://www.theunifiedtribereview.com

Ok, I bought that domain with ******* and pointed the dns to ns1.voda34.com - ns2.voda34.com.

Then I created a addon domain in my cpanel. Did I need to do that?

Well, I did and when I went to publish the .index file to that directory
(/public_html/theunifiedtribereview.com) a cpanel site showed up saying apache is working! (http://www.theunifiedtribereview.com...ultwebpage.cgi)

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Has it been at least 48 hours since you pointed your name servers to voda? That is how long my domain seller told me I may have to wait for it to propagate??? It actually took a couple of hours more but it was fairly close. I checked it often, as I wanted to see each page on ie & ff.

You only need an addon domain folder if this was a second website.
If this is the only website you have on your server you will publish to " public_html " (no quotes)

Yes this is a second website, not my primary. So I published my index file to
/public_html/theunifiedtribereview and the site redirects to "http://www.theunifiedtribereview.com/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi" instead of my site I uploaded.

Any ideas?

What method did you use for the redirect?

I did not redirect anything (at least I don't think I did)

Here is what I did:

- Bought a domain from *******
- pointed the dns of that domain to voda
- then went to voda cpanel and added the domain as an addon.

Did I do something wrong?

The new page was published as " index " and not " Index " ?? (no quotes)

Possibly waiting for the DNS pointing to happen.

I saved it as " index " all lowercase....

Yes I will wait a day and see what happens...

Well people, the site is fixed but I don't know what support did. I had just submitted a ticket...
