Thread: CCleaner - safe?

I've received BV communication about the merits of CCleaner. It sounds so good that I'd like to try it.
I've also received warnings from a computer "guru" (from Europe) that it also has the potential to harm your computer (by cleaning away root files as well).
What is the truth?

Google it, and decide for yourself.
Why ask for another opinion if you can't decide between a professional and a personal perspective?
