Thread: IP address randomly changes

I've been trying to use wordpress the last few days with many hurdles but now it seems that my IP address has changed a few times which locks me out of Cpanel and makes my site unable to be opened. Any reason why my IP would change and if so shouldn't vodahost be able to obtain these changes and adjust them as necessary. Thanks for any advice, Craig.

There is no such animal as a randomly changing IP address on the VodaHost side. If you try to login to cpanel with the wrong username/password 3 times, the system will block you out for about 20 minutes.

The cpanel and wordpress logins are completely unrelated, wordpress does not have this security feature...

Thanks, was getting the ip info from whatsmyip but it was giving me my network address. Problem solved now. Customer support also helped sort it out. Have just tried installing joomla so will see if that's a bit easier than wordpress. Thanks, Craig.
