Thread: hits or visits?

i am monitering my stats with voda etc and it says within four weeks or so i have had 46,000 hits and 509 visitors what do i take notice of because surely i have made a few hits to that list ? not sure how it all works but people on here say they have had a 100,000 in there first year does this mean im doing well? hope so any info much appreciated
