Thread: How do I limit the access to a guestbook?

I`ve have created a guestbook on my frontpage. The idea is that all can send a message, but only 4 (a board) ca read it. The question is how can I autorize only a small group reading the messages...?

You can't, which is one of the reasons Guest Books are not exactly favored. FOrums allow you the ability to restrict member permissions, but a Forum is not exactly the "soft" format people want to add to their site (since you cannot add it to your page too easily).

The only way to restrict people as a group to view or access your Guest Book is to publish it on a single password protected page or within a protected Directory, both of which will require you to establish Passwords and administrate Membership.
