Thread: Sub Domain help

Hi,

I set up a subdomain http://www.beezkidzworld.beezworld.com because I wanted a seperate area for kidz without having to go through main site. 1)Does the sub domain allow this and 2) how do I do that with redirection. 3) How can I get search engines to recognize my subdomain...do I have to submit it also....? Sorry to be a pain.

Hi Bee,

It will work in it's own right as a subdomain but it will show as a subdomain of your main one in the loading progress bar of a browser. For the SEs I think it would work better if you bought the domain name 'www.beezkidzworld.com' and added it to you VH account as an add-on domain (you can buy from VH or any other domain supplier - there are some inexpensive options). It still works the same way - you only pay the one lot of hosting. It just presents better. You could read more by doing a search for sub domains and add-on domains in the search facility at the top of this page.

I think I will purchase like you suggested...it seems the right way to go. By the way love your sites...I browsed through them and am truly awed at your genius. I admire anyone who can write rhyming poetry...I'm awful at it.
