do you pay vodahost to get your webite to come up in search engines like google and msn,yahoo and the rest of them or does it only do certain ones

Naval: So...basically that's where the "hitch" on this whole "free" Vodahost webmaking comes in. You have to purchase a HOST in order to actually have your website accessible by other people? Or can anyone get to it if they know the exact address... But, it will not come up with a search..keyword, etc. ?? Thanks...

Could you explain Hosting? You can build a whole site but it's not actually on the internet and no one can get to it unless you pay for hosting?

Bluevoda is a free websitebuilder, but, AS CLEARLY STATED in the page that you have downloaded it from, it will only publish and work on Vodahost servers. Hosting takes equipment, staff to take care of the machines, buildings to host the servers, internet connection , personnel, etc. So it does cost.

There are more than one kinds of hostings available on the www: Free hosting, with minimun space and bandwidth, and, in most of the cases, with a non proprietary domain name. You get a domain type like www.yourdomainname.yourhoster.com so it is not really yours. Then, with this kind of hosting you get a standard 5 - 10pages serverside websitebuilder - if you get any at all, minimum (if any) support, and of course no Control Panel, no additional software. Usualy there are some publicity ads in your pages, so the hoster can sustain the cost.

Then there is the low cost hosting, which for say $2 to $3/month gives you SOME diskspace, SOME bandwidth, and usually a minimum of support, little software, 3 - 10 emails, 1 -5 domains (not always) on the same account, usually no MySQL (which means no forum, no Photogallery, no blog, no classifieds) All this is extra

I just registered a Domain name (yesterday) through mydomain.com. I need to use it for my website...will I be able to?

Yes you are. You must enter your CP in mydomain.com and change your DNS to point to the Vodahost servers that will be indicated to you when you signup with Vodahost. But why did you register if you intend to host with Vodahost? you are entitled to a free domain name registration for one year at the moment (and ONLY then) of signing up with Vodahost.
