Thread: ERROR:12002. Internet time out...please help

I have an internet time out error 12002 when trying to publish.

I have had this happen before and it sorted it self out.

Im having probs now though. Been like it for a few hours now and i need to update my website.

Can you please tell me what this means any1? and how to combat it!

I'm having the same problem.

I think its something to do with their servers...as they were having problems earlier on.

Im waiting to see what happens.

A 12002 error is a timeout error. You might also receive this error
if you are trying to publish to the wrong IP address. Otherwise you
are receiving it because you are trying to upload a very large file, or
your internet connection speed is very slow.

The first thing you will want to do is run a pix resizer over all your
photgraphs to compress their size:

After you have done this, if the problem persists, try the below
work around:

1. In windows go to Start, select run and type: Regedit
2. Find this key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BlueVoda 7\BlueVoda 7\Publish\
3. Add a new DWORD value with the name ConnectionTimeout
4. Enter the value in seconds for example 360 (default is 30)

Does having loads of big photos affect publishing then? as i have quite a few photos on my site.

I did the above and even tried uploading a blank page but still the error occurs. I set the DWORD data value to 60secs...pls tell me whether this is a general server problem or if its just me.

I am also having the same problem. I published my index and it timed out, now my site is just not there.

I have done what you said:

1) I went to windows, clicked run etc...changed to 360.

2) Resized the pics on the page im trying to publish with that pix rezizer i downloaded

3) Am using the correct ip. 70.86.30.66

However

I am still unable to publish due to time out error,

any advance on this as i really need to make changes to my website before i go to bed! lol

Go to TOOLS in BlueVoda and then OPTIONS then PUBLISH TAB in options add more time

It is not a server problem since you can see your site.

I just tried...

It won't even let me FTP let alone publish.

Could it be something to do with the new BV 7.7 I downloaded?

In cPanel it works fine when I go to file manager its ok. But FTP and BV publish seem to be the only problem.

No if it was a BV problem we would have 10'000's of screamers, any new firewall on your computer? Service pack upgrades. Try turning off your firewall.

Yes, the server black listed your IP address...
make sure you are entering your username and
password correctly. Voda2 is our most secure server
and it is very tempermental about usernames and
passwords.
