    Question meta tags

    Hi
I've put in key words on the meta tag part of page properties. But in the search to find out why Google is passing me by I read that you can have to many key words. Can anybody suggest a good number of key words to have before the google-bots get upset! or does it matter at all?
    cheers
    John

As a rule of thumb - I tend to stick to around the twenty mark. It's only my rule of thumb though. Lol. Yes it does matter and the Google-bot can get very upset if you have too many.

Amanda's rule of thumb works - but also - do NOT put in any keywords you aren't using on the page. Google doesn't really look at keywords for help, but they do notice if you try to spam them.

    Thumbs up Re: meta tags

Thanks Amanda and Beth for the advise. I was unintentionally spamming the bots. I have also sorted out my sitemap. It should work better now.
