Thread: Gradient color-up and down (horizontal)

I have a problem with "gradient" in the shape tool. When I choose a gradient (for any color) from top to bottom, or vice versa- I only get a large black box. Other gradients work except the ones that gradient up or down.

Anyone had similiar problems?

Hi Andy.

I've used the gradient feature extensively and have never had a problem. That's a strange one. The only thing I've experienced problems with is the fuschia colour. Grandmas and eggs and things - but have you tried re-downloading BV? Only a thought....

Well I wanted to put it out there to see if it was a setting or something simple. I will download again from BV and re-install. I hope that does the trick. By the by- what time is it where your are? Here it is 10:01pm.

I remember gradients being an issue a while back, Andy. Try a search on here and look for threads from mid to late 2005. I know there was some useful info in at least one of them.

Did as suggested- only thing I could find was from Pablo talking about 256 color setting. Mine will only set to 32 bit color. Odd that all other gradients work except the horizontal gradient. I will do some more research.
