Josè, A member of the forum has reported this: the dropdown list for the Link Type in the Image Map edit popup, has all the possible choices written twice: here's the screenshot he sent me:

On the same topic, a small bug: the Image Map icon has no alternate text related. It shows at the left bottom corner, but not as alternate text.

Hot spot "Drag N Drop" function
Scenario:
Image W300 H600
Hotspot circle x100 y100 Radius 14
The circle can be dragged by mouse only in the X and Y axis one time per edit session.
Mouse after release no longer moves object.
Object can be moved by keyboard up,down,left, right buttons.

Sorry, i was just reffering to the icon Alt text, the one that when you mouseover the image Map button should give it's description (or name)

In the past, with BV7, we had found out that the array sent by the listbox or combobox (Forms section) when the "Alllow multiple selections" was ticked, would only include one of the values. It still does so in BV8. Can you please have a look at it ?

This is default HTML behaviour, this has nothing to do with BV.
Listbox and combobox values are returned as collections and need to be treated this way in the processing script (PHP).

I have found that the FTP manager connection is much slower and times out alot. It will, lately, fail me three times and then connect. Or- if it fails, I will click out of FTP manager and then click back in and re-connect and it will go through. Odd behavior. I have heard echos from others that it appears much slower to them also.

Occasionally get this error message when publishing pages...

X Internet Exception Error 12111

Details:
The FTP operation was not completed because this session was aborted

Have also had similar message saying operation was timed out.

This is not a bug.
Maybe the server is busy at that time or your timeout it set to short.
Go to Tools->Options->Publish and increase the timeout value.
If that doesn't help trying searching for '12111 wininet' on Google.
Note that BlueVoda uses the same FTP engine as Microsoft's IE, so all solutions/tips/tweaks on the Internet also apply to the BV<->VodaHost connection.

Navaldesign mentioned the array sent by the "multiple" choice. I have tried as has Navaldesign, to write a script to capture all the choices ticked. Even ***** has been looking into it. If there is a script solution, could you provide an example.

I don't know a generic solution which can automatically detect multiple selection lists, but here's some usefull information that might help:

I have downloaded BV8 and am now unable to publish my pages using my original password. The error message 'supplied password is incorrect' comes up.

What's an IP address? Where do I find it? I've done nothing different this time then from the many other times I have published my pages. Why should the IP address have changed?

P.S. I see the 'server IP' number at the top of the publisher window...is that the IP you mention? When the window comes up this IP # is already showing. Should I try different ones?

Okay....I tried the different IP #'s and the third one worked. Thanks Nyoman. I am now publishing.

BV8 will not open my index page. It will open every other page in the folder, but when I try to open the index page, I get the "Blue Voda has encountered an error and needs to close" dialogue. I've rebooted, reinstalled, tried swinging the dead chicken clockwise instead of counterclockwise and nothing is helping.

All fixed! You have to swing the chicken two turns clockwise and then two turns counterclockwise.

I'm find it frustrating becuase in BV8 when I'm trying to align my text boxes etc. manually I notice that the boxes seem to jump around and I can't seem to get them where I want. All the other stuff is cool...but this is driving me stark raving mad...Bellvue here I come...please tell me it's not just me...otherwise I will have to check in.

Ok then..this is me feeling sheepish...baaah...Thanks Pablo...saved me form the loony farm.

When we create a marquee in BlueVoda 8, we add the text within a black frame (black by default). But the moment we want to adjust the frame surrounding the text, the size should remain the same once published on the web. Right? All was well in BlueVoda 7.7.

Now, it works well if we choose right or left scrolling. But when we create an up or down scrolling, the size of the background, surrounding the text, changes automatically once published. Now, open again to see what I mean: http://www.theoric.org/test.html Read the note I put beside the two marquees on this page which explain the difference in the making in BlueVoda 8. I need this function and so many others reported that bug on the forum as well. I am not alone to see the problem then.

- Fixed: All items in the 'Link to' of the Add Rectangle Hotspot appeared twice.
- Fixed: Dragging of Hotspot shapes sometimes locked.
- Fixed: Marquee up/down direction showed up with the wrong size.

Hi,
I got stuck when publishing the windows media player. The moment the hourglass icon appeared it hang up and not up loading the files

What kind of connection do you have there in Singapore?
What version OS are you using?
Are you using the new Blue Voda version 8?
etc.....

Please note that if you are uploading a large file (mp3s can be even up to 6 - 8 Mb) it may take up to 8 minutes to upload the file. Maybe it is just apparently frozen but it is uploading.

More to learn. Oh boy! I can see this learning is never ending. Thank god there's a lot of empty space to fill in my head.
