Did I read somewhere that VodaHost can submit my site to SE ?
Also, I think someone mentioned rankings maybe in Google, how does a new website get noticed ?

Give yourself some time to read through the Search Engines forum - it's packed full of tips for optimising your site and getting noticed. It is essential reading if you are serious about this and contains far too much to repeat here.

If this is your first site on a new account then you can submit a support ticket requesting a 'one-off' search engine submission - where VH will submit your site to the top fifty or so SEs.
