Default Link colors showing incorrectly in preview

OK - is it just preview? I've got my link colors set for the page - then I have a whole bunch of links I've got in other colors. Some of them are showing properly in preview - but all the links I put in to show one color - are showing the color set in page properties instead?

I want to publish this - it's a site I'm moving over to Voda - have 40 pages ready to go - but this site is live and I don't want to have any major problems (this would be as major navigation would be hard to see) so would appreciate someone's response - do you think it will be right when published?
    Thanks

Yes, the hyperlink is all set properly - when I preview, it even shows the correct name for the hyperlink that I gave it - but that isn't what shows in preview! I've been pulling out my hair - cuz I have other hyperlink styles set that are working - but this one won't work anywhere!

The fact that the link is showing in page properties attributes (default attributes) indicates that the link is not picking up the style you have set. Things you can try include:

Highlight the links one at a time and check the styles it's picking up from the Hyperlinking Tool in the BV tool bar.
Make sure that style names are not repeated.
One other thing, many wont agree with me on this one, but I have had success with it in the past.. Make sure that your links are brought to the front of the page.
Also, I thought you might have been using non-web colors, but you mention that the pages are already published in which case that possibility can be discounted.

Preview should pick all optimization attributes as if the page is actually published, after all, thats the whole idea of Preview.

Let us know how you go with it.

    Cheers.

No, these pages aren't published with BV yet - but I have gone through each one as you said - I even renamed the style - more than once - trying just about anything - LOL - I think white is a color that's acceptable - and they are at the front of the page. Any other suggestions?

Yes.. I understand, but the fact they are published somewhere else is good enough to presume that the colors are are web friendly.

One other thing.. Would it be possible to post the entire HTML code for the page..?

I can have a go at it and see if I can locate the problem.

I'm going to publish a page on another website - will be right back and let you know what happens there - if it doesn't work with the right colors - you'll be able to look yourself.

    Well - I solved it -
Without realizing it - I put a space into the name of the style - and while it all looks like it works - it doesn't :) - I now have 40 pages to go correct lots of navigation in - then will have the site up to publish later.

Thanks for staying with me on this. I new it had to be something simple! And it works in preview like it should now.

So, anyone who reads this - when you name your style for hyperlinking - NO SPACES. :)
