    Default URL Redirect problem

Hi, I've tried redirecting a url, but it does not work properly. Basically, what I've done is this:

    1) Created a directory in my public_html folder called 'resources'

    2) published a blank html page ,called 'chitosan', to the resources directory

    3) went to control panel, clicked on Redirects, and added a permanent redirect url from
    http://www.fatlossmasterclass.com/re.../chitosan.html
to my target affiliate url at
    http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-9678321...mpicprice.html

    4) However, when I click on the link http://www.fatlossmasterclass.com/re.../chitosan.html
in any of my published webpages, I instead get redirected to
www.bodybuilding.com (which is the 1st part of the affiliate url),
and not the intended landing page at
    http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/chrompicprice.html

**By the way, the long url above (the target url) is an affiliate url made up of 2 parts, the 1st part pertains to the main homepage of the website, the 2nd part brings you to the exact product page (known as deep linking). If you copy and paste the entire long url above into your IE address bar, you'll be brought directly to the product page at http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/chrompicprice.html

So, from what I've described above, is there anything I'm doing wrong?

And, just for your info, I've also tried doing the url redirect, in another way, i.e. create an additional directory in resources called 'chitosan', and create a plain text file in this chitosan dir called .htaccess. The .htaccess file is just made up of the single line: Redirect /resources/chitosan
    http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-9678321...mpicprice.html

Accordingly , I've changed the link on my webpage to point to www.fatlossmasterclass.com/resources/chitosan/ without the .html suffix.

End result? THE SAME PROBLEM, I couldn't get redirected to the intended target url.

    Anyone got any ideas?

Cpanel is not designed for those extra long links. Cpanel redirects are for
simple links. You could try to do a meta refresh.

Why don't you just add the affiliate link to your page as a hyperlink. Now
I know your going to say that you think that people will not click it or that
someone will try to steal your commissions..That's a lot of marketing hype
made up by the guys that sell internet courses. Just add the link to your
    page and move on.
