Thread: Quick question about domain names and hosting

Hello all.
I'm still really new to BV, and so, I have a quick question. I recently purchased a domain name, but I have not purchased hosting service from bluevoda yet. Now, the domain name that I have is the one that I need for when I am ready to host. When I am ready to purhcase the hosting service from blue voda, can I use the same domain name that I already have?

Yes.

When you sign up with Voda Hosting you will be given an e-mail which will give you all the info you need for your site. Part of that is the name servers IP addresses. You would simply go to the place where you registered your domain name and point it to the Voda Host servers IP addresses you were given in your e-mail.

If you have owned the domain name for 60 days or more- you could transfer it to Voda Host. Or keep it where it is and simply renew with them. Choice is yours.
