Thread: Awstats problem

Hi,


I get this error when i try to access by Awstats

NOTE: sitename changed to 'mysite'

Error: awstats failed to create directory DirData (DirData="/home/mysite/tmp/awstats/", CreateDirDataIfNotExists=1).

Setup ('/home2/mysite/tmp/awstats/awstats.mysite.com.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).

PS: I think the site may have been moved to a new place. Note the change in /home and /home2

Ok, fixed it.

But, why is that the logs are lost sometimes. Im sure im getting a log thats a day older and I had seen an updated one a few hours back even if i use update link.

Stats are not updated in real time, they are updated on a 24-48 basis, depending on the traffic of your site.

Thanks Sarah for the reply.

As i had written earlier, I will get the latest one then a few hours later the stats shows as if I was a a day old (the thing is I would have seen the fresher one). This happens to the log files too. I just downloaded the july log, and it shows till july 2nd im sure I have seen a later version. This is the issue.

Again regarding awstats, after i posted this one the update option was taken off. Anyways hope you will fix these minor things soon.
