Publishing to subfolders

Can anyone tell me how to publish from a subfolder?
Can I publish to a sub folder, also?

1) Create the sub folder
2) Publish to public_html/folder

Remember, every sub directory you create must have its own index page to default to.

First of all, when I publish, I just press the publish button on blue voda. How do I choose where the publishing actually goes?

Also, how do I create a separate index page for each sub folder?

I just checked and realized that I have that option when publishing, to add to the public_html a sub folder. I still don't know how to add an index to each page.

Just create that index page, save it in a subfolder on your computer, named the same way as your site subfolder (just for you to remember easily what is what) and then publish to that subfolder.
