I published my website by placing everything into the public_html folder. My page name for my home page is home. I had already done multiple links on my sites ot pages before reading to make it index. Wouldn't I have to change all those individual links on each page to index? Also, when typing in my web address, an index is all that comes up. What do I do??

You must name your home page 'index', unless you do this it won't publish properly. Rename your home page, publish again and everything should be ok. You can call the other pages anything you like. Regards
