Default Newbie needs help

This is my first try at this. I am very lost.
This might be a really dumb question but, How do I open the program to try and start building a site, or better yet, how do I get to the practice page I hear talk about?
Sorry for the 0 knowlage.
Thanks Rusty rjxofusa.com

Hi Rusty,

no dumb questions here...we were all newbies and some of us still ask 'dumb' questions.

Have you downloaded the website builder?

If YES...then click on the BV icon and open. A dialog page will open up and ask weather you want to open an existing file or new...click on new.

This is your page to practice on and learn how to use the builder.

Hope that helps.

Rusty, sometimes PC's need to be cleaned and slow down. Clear your cache, cookies and history and then Save-Publish your page. Your 'home' page shpuld be saved as your Index page. You might have to refresh (F5) a number of times.

What is excactly the error message you get? Make sure that you are publishing in the correct IP address, with the correct username and password.

Hey!

I have gone to your site url that you have provided and it showed me this different page that is not suppose to popup. If that is the problem that you can't view your site it might be because your first page is not named [index.bvp] or [index.html].

Hello,
I am still having the same problems. My error code is 12014. I went back to my welcome email and took the username and password right off of there and it won't let me publish.

Please help.

Have a look at : http://support.vodahost.com/index.ph...cleid=93&nav=0

It might be your IP address that is wrong. You get the same error in that case too.

Do you have the recent download of BlueVoda? If you don't you might not have your I.P Address to publish your pages.

Thanks for the help, I have solved the problem and I am glad to say, I'm on the web.
Now I would like to ask if anyone can tell me...... how do I get my website to come up in google and some of the other big search engines?
Thanks in advance

One step at a time....
Is your website complete? Even if it isn't, you should be implementing many important features to maximize your acceptance and postion with the Search Engines....you can "bone up" on many of the issues that you should be incorporating in your website completion in the Forums by using this link: http://www.vodahost.com/vodatalk/vod...h-engines.html

I personally recommend taking advantage of the very affordable SEO program called VodaHits, which uniquely depends on your involvement to attain the results you are seeking (they allow you to really learn via participation the methodology of a winning SEO program). This should be done before you allow VodaHost to submit your site to the engines to fulfill the one free submission you are entitled to.....
